Sofia McClarnon
Co-founder, Executive Director
Sofia is an Early Childhood Movement Specialist and alumni of Marymount Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. Sofia was inspired to start The Dancer Movement Corp through her desire for dance and her belief that everyone can and should have the opportunity to experience the art of dance. Sofia designed The Movement Deck through years of experience in Early Childhood Education and dance, designing the cards with real children in a classroom, dance, and home setting. Through her professional training and college performance experience, Sofia provides an educated dance perspective for the company.

Shawn Blasco
Co-founder, Artistic Director
Shawn is a certified secondary education teacher that specializes in working with children with learning disabilities. She has volunteered many hours working backstage and in the costume department at various pre-professional dance companies. Shawn is a mother of three children.
